RAMS ECS has extensive experience in conducing Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) and Testability analysis of complex aerospace systems or components across electrical, electronic and mechanical domains. Our independent design reviews identify potential issues early in development, enabling cost-effective corrections during the initial design phase and eliminating expensive rework downstream.

We tailor our services to meet the demands of your reliability program at any stage of the development lifecycle from conceptual design through to operation and maintenance. We perform comprehensive reliability assessments, including MTBF calculations, reliability predictions, demonstrations, and optimizations using advanced methods such as Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD) and FME(C)As at both functional and piece-part levels. Our analysis incorporates the following standards and data sources:

  • Reliability Programme planning per civil and military standards
  • Electronics Reliability predictions using parts count or stress methodologies MIL-HBK-217F, ANSI/VITA 51, FIDES, EPRD, Telcordia
  • Mechanical Reliability predictions using handbooks such as NPRD-2023, NSWC-11 or physics of failure models
